The beautiful thing about Stoic philosophy is the advice contained within it is just as applicable today as it was when it was first written all those many years ago. We can learn a great deal from interpreting the advice provided and using it to our advantage as we go throughout our own lives.

We are here for a limited amount of time. We do not control when we will leave this world. We can prolong it through medicine and other means but regardless, our time is limited and we will eventually pass. You have no control over others and their time on this earth. Embrace the here and now and enjoy every moment you have with those close to you as it is a gift.
